Joanne Conroy - Property Manager and Managing Director - BBS (VPM) 

 

Joanne studied science at Canterbury University before moving to Queenstown in 1983. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University majoring in Valuation and Property management. 

 

With extensive knowledge of the Queenstown property market, Joanne has been a commercial Property Manager in Queenstown since 1987 and is now considered to be the leading Property Manager in the district. 

 

Joanne has a vast knowledge of the Reserves Act, leases, licenses, easements, permits and local government property issues and is responsible for the Queenstown Lakes District Council portfolio.

 


 

Luke Van Velthooven - Managing Director - B.Com (VPM), SPINZ, ANZIV 

 

Luke has a B.Com (VPM) from Lincoln university and is SNZPI and ANZIV accredited, with over 18 years experience in the property industry in local and central government, SOEs, private companies and corporate organisations. 

 

Luke's hands on experience combined with his work experience in the Construction Industry together with extensive knowledge of the Resource Management Act, Public Bodies Leases Act, the Reserves Act and the Public Works Act gives him a unique diversity of skills required for portfolio management and successful Project Management.

 


 

Lindsay Borrie - Registered Valuer - ANZIV, SPINZ, B.Com Ag (VFM) 

 

Lindsay has been in the valuation field since 1985, valuing in the lower South Island. He moved to Central Otago in 2001, valuing mainly in the Queenstown-Wakatipu basin area, as well as Cromwell and the Upper Clutha. 

 

He brings experience and extensive knowledge over a broad spectrum of property types to the LPS team. His current portfolio includes lifestyle and rural properties as well as vineyards, residential dwellings and apartments. His experience in the commercial sector within this region covers industrial properties, Motel and Lodge accommodation. Lindsay's vast knowledge ensures you will receive an informed perspective and reliable assessment.

Susan Sawyer - Property Manager 

 

Susan acts as Body Corporate secretary for over 15 Body Corporates and focuses on property and project management. UK born, Susan lived in South Africa before coming to New Zealand in 1983. 

 

Susan has experience in a diverse range of roles including project management on commercial and residential property developments. As a property manager, Susan has spent time working on national retail portfolios, shopping centre complexes, multi-story office buildings and government and private sector portfolios. 

 

Moving to Queenstown in 1997 as project coordinator for Monad Pacific, Developers of Grand Mecure St Moritz. Susan then spent time in the tourism industry before returning to work in property for Lakes Property Services.

 


 

Rose Burnard - Property Manager/Valuer - BBS (VPM), Dip B. Admin (Fin) 

 

Since 1 July 2004, Rose's role at Lakes Property Services has been Project Manager for Land Information New Zealand's South Island Property Management Contract Under this contract there are approximately 1,050 properties, which are all very diverse.  Rose has dealt with all areas of property management for LINZ under this contract and deals with all day to day issues which affect Crown land. Rose undertakes all the monthly reporting for the contract. 

 

Prior to taking up the role at LPS, Rose worked for three years in one of New Zealand 's largest property companies, DTZ New Zealand Limited.

 

She gained extensive experience and knowledge in all spheres of commercial and residential buildings, this included managing a residential property portfolio of over 300 properties in the lower North Island and the upper South Island.

Melita Richards - Accounts Administrator 

 

Melita has been employed at Lakes Property Services since May 2007 as our Accounts Administrator dealing with the accounting side of our Queenstown Lakes District Council contract and our Body Corporate division. 

 

Melita's proficiency with Fox database systems and MYOB accounting software make her a highly valued member of the team. 

 

Prior to joining Lakes Property Services Melita has worked as a support staff member and Accounts Manager for property management and valuation companies in both Queenstown and Christchurch.

Tracey Cunningham - Property Administrator 

 

Tracey has been in integral member of the LPS team since 2007. Her primary role is to provide assistance with the daily operation of various issues affecting Crown owned land under Land Information New Zealand's South Island Management Contract. this includes resource management issues, establishing new leases and licenses and debt recovery.

 

Tracey's role also incorporates the issuing and compliance of all film and reserve permits, along with maintaining new and existing relationships within the community, for the Queenstown Lakes District Council property portfolio.

Melinda Cleland - Property Manager - BEc.GDip Prop 

 

Melinda has Bachelor of Economics, University of Tasmania and a Graduate Diploma in Property, University of South Australia 

 

Melinda joined LPS in 2007 bringing with her a wealth of experience. Previously working with Esk Property Group in Tasmania she specialised in rural, residential and life-style property valuations and development feasibility studies. In her role at LPS Melinda assists with management of Land Information New Zealand's South Island Property Management Contract. This involves establishing new leases, licenses, easements, access agreements, maintaining existing relationships and dealing with day to day issues affecting the Crown land managed under contract.

 


 

Emma Glazebrook – Property Manager - MARLA 

 

Emma is a relatively recent arrival from the UK, moved to Queenstown permanently to be close to family. Emma brings with her over five years experience in Property Management and a Technical Diploma in Residential Letting and Property Management form the UK's National Federation of Property Professionals.

 

Starting out in lettings management and then more recently transferring to leaseholds, Emma has gained a number of transferable skills relevant to Bodies Corporate. Emma's role encompasses the day to day management of a portfolio of over 20 Bodies Corporate including liaising with owners and contractors, convening and running Body Corporate meetings, general property management and contract management.

 


 

Emma Griffin - Typist / Personal Assistant to Valuers

 

Emma has been employed at Lakes Property Services since July 2009 and is the face of Lakes Property Services looking after the reception area, greeting clients when they come in the door.

 

Emma's primary role at Lakes Property Services is to assist the valuers with the efficient handling of all administration duties and undertaking all their secretarial work.  Her tasks range from the preparation and presentation of valuation reports to the collation of property statistics and administration of monthly accounts.

Dan Egerton - Property Manager – BCom DipBS MRIENZ

 

Born and bred in Queenstown, Dan studied Commerce and History at the University of Otago and also studied Property Valuation and Management at the Massey University. He then travelled to the UK and was based in London for 2 years working for Network Rail being responsible for one of their largest commercial property portfolios in Great Britain. Upon returning to New Zealand Dan spent two years working for Jack’s Point in Queenstown before starting at LPS.  Dan’s in-depth knowledge of the South Island affords him the opportunity to address most issues which cross his desk with some background or experience. 

 

 


 

Craig Rackham – Property Manager/Valuer - BSc (Hons) MRICS

 

Originally from Yorkshire, Craig graduated from the Nottingham Trent University in England where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Planning & Property Development. Craig became a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2008 whilst working at Allsop LLP in London, one of the UK’s leading independent property consultancy firms. Here, Craig specialised in commercial and residential property valuation and additionally gained a broad range of experience in the leasing and letting and acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential property. Craig arrived in New Zealand in December 2009 and Queenstown has been his home since February 2010.

 

In his role at LPS Craig is responsible for operating a comprehensive Property Management system, including rent billing for over 850 leases. Craig is also responsible with assisting with establishing new leases, licenses, easements, access agreements, maintaining existing relationships and dealing with day to day issues affecting Crown land under Land Information New Zealand’s South Island Management Contracts.
